Safe Toys for Ferrets

All pets need to be entertained and ferrets are no exception. Like most pets, ferrets will play with almost anything within their reach. Ferrets are highly intelligent animals and enjoy having a variety of things to play with and keep them entertained. Look for only the best quality toys and make sure that there are no small parts that they can chew or swallow. It is important to do a check-up on toys that your ferret plays with to make sure that they are still in good, safe condition and that there are no pieces that have been chewed and have the potential of being accidentally swallowed.

Toys for your ferret don’t have to be expensive. Home-made toys are just as entertaining. Ferrets enjoy playing with towels, old shirts, pants, socks, and other articles of clothing. You can even sew bells in them for added fun. Paper towel rolls and empty tissue boxes are also known to keep ferrets entertained for hours. The most important thing is to give them a variety of things to play with to keep them happy and entertained for hours.
